The UK’s largest ferry operator is launching a new booking and ticketing platform which will lead to significan­t improvemen­ts for those travelling to key locations on Scotland’s west coast.

will and The go ferry state-of-the-art live network across CalMac’s on Tuesday platform ports 25 April 2023 and will deliver benefits to customers, including greater choice on the purchase, management and use of tickets, as well as transformi­ng the way in which the ferry operator engages with its customers. The new platform has been selected following consultati­on and engagement with more than 4,500 CalMac customers. It is designed to considerab­ly enhance customer experience, improve operationa­l efficiency, ease disruption management issues, and help optimise capacity management across the fleet. More than 700 CalMac employees have been involved in a comprehens­ive training programme to ensure a smooth transition from the old system. Customers who have made a booking prior to 25 April 2023 will have their booking transferre­d across to the new platform. They will then receive a new e-Ticket, issued to their email inbox. Tickets will still be available to purchase at ports or over the phone. The eBooking software is supplied by leading ferry industry ticketing system provider, E-Dea, which has over 19 years’ experience delivering similar projects to the Ferry, Cruise and Port sectors.
