Quad se­ries

Hav­ing made a break­through at the Com­mon­wealth Games and grabb ed BBC Spoty hon­ours – Eng­land’s net­ballers were named both Team of the Year and cre­ators of the Great­est Mo­ment of the Year – the Roses face the most de­mand­ing of years in 2019. First up is the Quad Se­ries later this month, which in­cludes a re­match with their Gold Coast fi­nal op­po­nents, Aus­tralia. As well as fac­ing the Di­a­monds Tracey Neville’s squad meet pow­er­ful op­po­nents in New Zealand and South Africa dur­ing the Se­ries from 13- 20 Jan­uary at Liver­pool’s Echo Arena and Lon­don’s Cop­per Box . All the matches are on Sky Sports.

World Cup

Come July and the Vi­tal­ity Net­ball World Cup ar­rives in Liver­pool. From 12- 21 July there will be a hec­tic sched­ule of ac­tion that sees up to eight matches played each day in the pre­lim­i­nary stages of a tour­na­ment fea­tur­ing 16 na­tions and 60 matches over 10 days. Eng­land are grouped along­side Scot­land, Uganda and Samoa in Group D. North­ern Ire­land have a tough as­sign­ment in Group A, where the de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons, Aus­tralia, li e in wait along­side Sri Lanka and Zim­babwe. Sky and the BBC will be show­ing the matches, with the cor­po­ra­tion broad­cast­ing ev­ery match live from day four on­wards.
