On a walking tour of the City of London, we will see London’s Roman amphitheat­re, the medieval churches that escaped the Great Fire of London and the Crusader roots of the Inns of Court. Along the way, you will learn the classical orders of architectu­re and the history of English Gothic from Harry Mount, architectu­ral historian and editor of The Oldie. Includes lunch (and wine) in Middle Temple Hall, the best Elizabetha­n building in London. 12 noon Meet-up and introducti­on by Harry Mount (full meet-up details to follow) 12-1pm Walk and City tour 1-2 pm Two-course lunch in the Middle Temple Hall 2-3.30pm Walk and City tour to finish
