Reader Course: Ancient London – Walking Tour

On a walking tour of the City of London, we will see London’s Roman amphitheatre, the medieval churches that escaped the Great Fire of London and the Crusader roots of the Inns of Court. Along the way, you will learn the classical orders of architecture and the history of English Gothic from Harry Mount, architectural historian and editor of The Oldie. Includes lunch (and wine) in Middle Temple Hall, the best Elizabethan building in London. 12 noon Meet-up and introduction by Harry Mount (full meet-up details to follow) 12-1pm Walk and City tour 1-2 pm Two-course lunch in the Middle Temple Hall 2-3.30pm Walk and City tour to finish
