Nature lover
SIR: Like Peter Cobb (December issue), I stayed at Bob Guccione’s New York mansion – I was then a columnist in Penthouse’s sister magazine Omni, which covered both science and science fiction.
On one occasion, I had just finished playing Judy Garland’s old piano when I started to talk about a research report ‘in this week’s issue of Nature’.
At this point a young lady came and sat beside me. Coiling her left arm round my neck, she announced breathlessly, ‘I just love nature.’ She did not mean the journal. Dr Bernard Dixon OBE, Ruislip Manor, London
