Where eagles dare to drink

-

SIR: Further to your article about this in the Old Un’s Notes (February issue), readers may be interested to know about the Eagle pub in Cambridge, which also contains the signatures of Second World War airmen burnt into the ceiling with

their lighters. This pub is known locally as the airmen’s pub and, as Cambridge is so close to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, it is possible to have a total Second World War RAF experience in one day.

Very moving. A Davies, Evesham, Worcestershire
