Celia Dodd has been a journalist for over 30 years, contributing to the Times, the Independent and Daily Mail. She writes about everything from relationships and education to profiles of pin-ups, including John Peel and Lou Reed. She is the author of two books: Not Fade Away: How to thrive in retirement and The Empty Nest, and is currently working on a third. She has three children and two grandchildren and hasn’t got an empty nest – yet.
Melanie Reid is a writer with the Times. Since 2010, when she broke her neck in a riding accident, she’s written ‘Spinal Column’, an awardwinning account of disabled life. Born in London, resident in rural Scotland, she’s a patron of Spinal Research, the Association for Continence Advice, the Colostomy Association and Friends At The End.
Her memoir, The World I Fell Out Of, won the Saltire Prize for Non-fiction in 2019. James Thellusson always wanted to be a writer but got sidetracked by a career at global marketing group WPP. Luckily, his 95-year-old mother moved in with his family and inspired a second career as a writer and blogger with his Man in the Middle blog. He stupidly believes Boomers shouldn’t be blamed for everything.
