Randall’s ducks in a row
SIR: Your account of John Woodcock’s funeral service (October issue) reminds me of his comment on the England and Nottinghamshire batsman Derek Randall, which I treasure as the best single sentence in the history of cricket reporting. I think I have it by heart:
