Odin and Thor make a splash!

They were years in the making, but we finally welcomed our two new tugs, Odin and Thor, into our fleet in September. Featuring stateof-the-art technology and impressive engine power, the new tugs’ arrival is part of our efforts to modernise our fleet. And they have already proven their worth, having gotten fullyimmersed into operational life through activities such as ship handling, towing, and escorting. Now that they are here, we can’t remember a time before them - we wish both vessels many safe years of service.

Our team worked round the clock to keep operations running as smoothly as possible and achieved so much despite the challenges. Here is a round-up of some of the great things that happened in 2020.

For many of us, 2020 was a year of ups and downs, and it was no exception for the Orkney Harbour Authority. However, we’d prefer to celebrate some of the more positive things that happened last year.
