Keeping safety firmly in the spotlight

Orkney’s piers and harbours are there for anyone to use, but as the winter season sets in they can become more hazardous. We decided to launch our Pier Safety campaign in November, featuring Jim Buck and Ali Cameron from the Kirkwall RNLI, to highlight the various risks and hazards that can be found across Orkney’s piers and harbours and how to avoid them. Safety is our number one priority and we believe it’s everyone’s responsibility to stay safe and look out for each other.
