Online retail store Orkney Storehouse launched in July 2017. The family owned business, run by Steven and Elaine Tulloch, is based in Stromness, and specialises in designing and producing a range of quality, British-made, fine bone china and homeware accessories, with Orkney’s spectacular wildlife and nature providing the inspiration for all designs.

The Natural Orkney Collection showcases six exquisite wildlife illustrations produced by local award-winning artist Tim Wootton. The collection features: puffin, eider, stonechat, waxwing, shorteared owl and oystercatcher, with each piece of fine bone china being hand decorated and adorned with its corresponding Orkney location backstamp.

The unique collection encompasses a wide range of quality homeware items, including dinner and side plates, pasta and cereal bowls, tea sets, mugs and platters, along with cushions, aprons, oven mitts and gloves, tea towels, coasters and tablemats, creating a delightful homeware and gift collection.

Company director Elaine Tulloch emphasises: “We have built the business around Orkney’s unique and distinctive wildlife, which has been the cornerstone of our business. We’ve enjoyed developing new products, and have built up a diverse customer base over the years comprising of local, UK and international markets, including those who have experienced Orkney’s captivating charm.”
