Taliban go on holiday
THE Taliban have announced a three-day ceasefire – for a holiday.
It is the first time they have downed weapons in Afghanistan since they were toppled by Us-led forces in 2001.
The ceasefire against government forces will last through religious festival Eid. But foreign forces will still be targets.
Meanwhile, more and more under-25s in capital Kabul are buying goods online to avoid bomb attacks.
Student Asila Sulaimani said: “Who dares go out shopping these days? Fears of an explosion follow me like my shadow.”
