A MOTHER was arrested after her three-year-old daughter was found dead, it emerged yesterday.
Carly Ann Harries, 37, was being quizzed after the body of toddler Amelia was discovered at their home.
Officers were called to the house, a new three-bed housing association property, late on Friday.
As rumours swept the area, police appealed for an end to speculation on social media about the death.
Mrs Harries was taken into custody from the house in Trealaw, South Wales, where she lived with Amelia and two sons.
Chief Supt Dorian Lloyd said officers with special training were providing the community with support.
Neighbour Tyler Saunders described Amelia as a “perfect little girl, so loving and full of beans”.
