Titanic doll makes £6k
THE head of a doll left in a cabin on the Titanic as it sank has been sold at auction for £5,720.
The porcelain doll belonged to Eva Hart, seven, who lost her father in the 1912 tragedy but was rescued with her mother.
The head and neck were found by a deep sea tuna fishing boat in 1977.
But it was only years later, after Eva’s death in 1996 aged 91, that it was confirmed to be hers by a Spanish museum.
