Taxi queue yob bit off man’s nose

A THUG who barged into a taxi queue then bit off part of the nose of a man who ob­jected has been jailed for nine years.

Steven Hall pushed in as oth­ers waited to get home in the early hours af­ter a night out.

When one man be­rated him Hall, 24, punched him and fled. A fight broke out af­ter the man gave chase.

The vic­tim, who was cel­e­brat­ing his birth­day, has since had four op­er­a­tions and a skin graft, Carlisle crown court heard.

Hall’s girl­friend Naomi Blair, 21, also punched the man’s wife to the ground, the court heard.

Hall ad­mit­ted wound­ing with in­tent. Judge James Ad­kin told him the at­tack in March last year was “re­pul­sive and cow­ardly”.

He added: “This was vi­o­lence where you sought to de­lib­er­ately dis­fig­ure.”

Blair ad­mit­ted ac­tual bod­ily harm and was given six months, sus­pended.
