Taxi queue yob bit off man’s nose
A THUG who barged into a taxi queue then bit off part of the nose of a man who objected has been jailed for nine years.
Steven Hall pushed in as others waited to get home in the early hours after a night out.
When one man berated him Hall, 24, punched him and fled. A fight broke out after the man gave chase.
The victim, who was celebrating his birthday, has since had four operations and a skin graft, Carlisle crown court heard.
Hall’s girlfriend Naomi Blair, 21, also punched the man’s wife to the ground, the court heard.
Hall admitted wounding with intent. Judge James Adkin told him the attack in March last year was “repulsive and cowardly”.
He added: “This was violence where you sought to deliberately disfigure.”
Blair admitted actual bodily harm and was given six months, suspended.
