THE first-ever Bond girl, Eunice Gayson, has died at the age of 90.

The actress made film history when she played Sylvia Trench, alongside Sean Connery, in Dr No.

Voluptuous Sylvia was famous for coaxing Bond’s most famous line out of him when she seduced him over a game of cards.

Bond said: “I admire your courage, Miss, er?” She replied: “Trench, Sylvia Trench. I admire your luck, Mr...” and Connery replied with the immortal line: “Bond. James Bond.”

A post on her Twitter read: “An amazing lady who left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be very much missed.”

James Bond franchise producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli tweeted: “We are so sad to learn that Eunice Gayson, our very first ‘Bond girl’, has passed away.”
