My sorrow I couldn’t save Mac, by Ariana
ARIANA Grande yesterday told for the first time of her grief over ex-love Mac Miller, who died of a suspected overdose.
Ariana, 25, called rapper Miller, 26, her “dearest friend” and the “kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved”.
In the caption of a video, she said she was “so sorry” she had not been able to take away his pain.
The video shows them laughing together as he asks her to stop filming him when he is telling a story.
She confirmed their split in May, after a two-year romance, and he was found dead at his Californian home this month.
She and her new boyfriend, comic Pete Davidson, 24, suspended comments on Instagram after Miller’s death because of fans blaming them.
Ariana, who was heartbroken after her concert in Manchester was bombed last May, had hinted Miller’s drug abuse was to blame for their split.
She had also released a note describing their relationship as “toxic”.
