NO ONE knows bet­ter than Shirley Bal­las that it takes two to tango – and now she’s on the hunt for an older man.

The Strictly judge has been sin­gle for three years and is keen for some­one to give her an­other cha-cha chance at ro­mance.

Twice-di­vorced Shirley, 58, said: “I’d like a man older than me, kind, car­ing, un­der­stand­ing, sweet and who makes me laugh. And fun!”

As head judge on Strictly, Shirley has her own army of ador­ing fans. But when she does waltz into the sun­set she wants a man on her arm.

The glamorous mum-of-one has told how she hasn’t even been on a date for three years – and blames her­self for not keeping her men.

“I’m hope­less, hope­less, hope­less!” she says. “I never get it right!”

Her first big ro­mance was not a to­tal dis­as­ter, how­ever. She ex­plained: “I was en­gaged at 16 to Nigel Tif­fany and he’s now my fi­nan­cial ad­viser, so we’ve been friends all th­ese years.”

Both of Shirley’s ex-hus­bands were also her dance part­ners: Sammy Stop­ford and Corky Bal­las.

Speak­ing pre­vi­ously of how they fell apart, Shirley said: “When I mar­ried Sammy we were both just so young. Ev­ery­body got mar­ried back then but it just didn’t work.

“But I’ve had a hugely suc­cess­ful ca­reer and I owe a lot of what I learnt to him, be­cause he was al­ready a top pro­fes­sional and I was
