Binman in lorry death

A BINMAN was run over and killed by his own dustcart during his early-morning round with colleagues.

Paul Abbott, 59, was treated at the scene in Northolt, North London, and died in an ambulance on the way to hospital.

A postmortem will take place on the father of five, of Southall, West London.

The Metropolitan Police said: “The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries. No arrests have been made.”
