O2 blast for 87p compo
O2 faced a backlash yesterday after some customers hit by Thursday’s network meltdown were offered just 87p compensation.
Consumer experts say the network should be paying at least £10 each to 32 million customers.
They were cut off from the internet and unable to send or receive texts.
O2 has offered just two days’ of credit – worth between 87p and £2.33.
Consumer activist Helen Dewdney said £10 compo would “show goodwill”.
