Thriller with the shivers

ARCTIC chiller Fortitude was back on Sky Atlantic with its final season.

And it’s just as well as my nerves can’t take any more.

What with deadly parasitic wasps and everyone turning into psychotic killers, we’ve had to get used to the sight of blood seeping through snow. As this four-part mini series began, it was the fallout of Hildur’s murder, the literal downfall of governor Monk and an exploding helicopter.

By the end of episode one, Richard Dormer’s brilliantly terrifying Sheriff Dan had killed off a few more people.

A thrilling saga but I’ll be glad for the horror to end.
