Scam of the week

-

MISSED delivery scams are doing the rounds again in the busy build-up to Christmas.

Victims receive a card through the door stating the courier company attempted to deliver a parcel while they were out.

The card directs you to either call a number or log on to a website. In either case you are asked to provide personal information “for security purposes”.

Before you know it, you have practically given them access to your bank accounts.

Genuine delivery companies also put these cards through homeowners’ doors, of course.

But you always need to be on your guard, especially if you were not expecting anything.
