Ford faces both thick and Finn
Racing 92 v Leicester
GEORGE FORD goes headto-head with Finn Russell today praying there is no repeat of their previous encounter.
The England and Scotland fly-halves last opposed each other at Murrayfield in February, when Russell steered the home side to Calcutta Cup glory.
It sparked a run of six straight defeats for England – and now Ford is in a similarly bleak run with out-of-sorts Leicester.
Few expect the Tigers to avoid a seventh loss on the run, playing in Paris against Finn’s club Racing 92.
But Ford said: “We will go there with the mindset to win the game, give it a real good crack and hopefully get a result – because that could be the catalyst for our season.”
