JAVI’S RISK

- By Tony Stenson

WATFORD manager Javi Gracia admits he walks a tightrope.

He signed a new four-year contract last month, which may keep him at Vicarage Road until 2020. Or until the club’s famed trigger-happy owners start twitching again. The 48-yearold Spaniard (left), from the bullrunning town of Pamplona, is wise to the fact only results count at Watford and he desperately needs to halt a slump of just two wins in his last 11 games.

It’s not lost on him Everton are managed by Marco Silva, sacked by Watford after a similar run – following others who failed to please the Pozzo family owners.

The current figure stands at 10 since they took control of the club in June 2012.
