Hat-trick hero Salah gifts MOM award to 500-game Milner
MO SALAH walked away with the match ball – but not the man-of-the-match award – after insisting James Milner deserved it.
Salah bagged a hat- trick and Steve Cook scored an own-goal as Liverpool thumped Bournemouth.
But the Egyptian hailed Milner for making his 500th Premier League appearance, and forced him to take the acclaim instead.
Salah said: “I must congratulate James on an amazing career. I hope I have more games like this, but I will not take the award.
“I scored three goals. I enjoyed the last one the most. I was calm.”
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said: “Salah looked razor-sharp – we struggled to handle him.”
