Grounds for anger in Cov

-

THE owners of Coventry City – a hedge fund bearing the acronym SISU – have been at loggerheads with the local authority over the sale of the Ricoh Arena to rugby club Wasps for a couple of years. SISU took the matter legal.

And the upshot is the city council refuses to deal with them over talks on extending the Sky Blues’ stay at the Ricoh beyond this season.

As it stands,

Coventry City FC are set to fold at the end of the season.

But the council should d be able to see beyond the end of their noses on this.

Coventry has been chosen as this year’s city of sport. Good luck promoting that after playing a part in a 135-year-old club’s demise.

The tens of thousands, who support the club and pay their rates, deserve better behaviour from their so-called local political leaders, who have more than played their part in creating this whole sorry mess.
