My heart breaks for all the women victimised by this man

-

The latest accuser, listed in legal documents in Los Angeles under the anonymous name Jane Doe, is suing Weinstein and the film studio he founded with his brother Bob for sexual battery and discrimination.

Actresses Salma Hayek, 52, Rose Mcgowan, 45, and Gwyneth Paltrow, 46, are among dozens of stars who have come forward with allegations ranging from rape to sexual harassment by Weinstein.

Gwyneth said Weinstein asked her for a massage in his hotel after casting her in the leading role of 1996 movie Emma when she was 22.

She refused and told her then boyfriend Brad Pitt, who is said to have threatened to kill the producer if he did that to her again.

Weinstein is facing five charges relating to two women in New York.

A group of accusers are trying to block him from bringing his private emails into the public eye.

His lawyer Scott Cousins said: “To claim sexual assault and t hen t ake such measures to prevent the truth from being heard speaks volumes of their motives.”

Weinstein admits his behaviour has “caused a lot of pain” but described many of the allegations as “patently false”.

He denies rape and sexual abuse and misconduct against two women and is due to appear in court again on Thursday.
