AI PURCHASED a scarf and gloves from a store and specifical­ly asked for a gift receipt, as both items were for my daughter. I didn’t check the slip in the shop but when wrapping the gifts the next day I noticed it was not a gift receipt. I’ve contacted the retailer but they won’t help. Doreen Harrington IT sounds strange they won’t help. Go back and say you would not have bought the items if you’d known you would not receive a gift receipt and on this basis the goods were missold. I’ll be surprised if they don’t help. I’VE returned a faulty TV set to the retailer and asked for a refund. They have told me they have identified the issue so will be repairing the TV and not

IF you returned the faulty set within 30 days of purchase you will be entitled to a refund. If it was after this, the retailer has the right to choose to repair rather than refund. I’M hiring a builder to work on my house. Can you advise
