Sol­diers take apart novi­chok hit house

TROOPS in gas masks and full-body cam­ou­flage yes­ter­day started dis­man­tling the home of ex-rus­sian spy Sergei Skri­pal, ten months af­ter he and daugh­ter Yu­lia were poi­soned there with novi­chok nerve agent.

They will seal and re­move ev­ery item in the semide­tached home in Sal­is­bury and its roof will be re­placed to make it hab­it­able. The Skri­pals are at a se­cret lo­ca­tion.

A neigh­bour said: “It doesn’t feel like they’re telling us the full story when they’re walk­ing about out­side in gas masks.”
