Brit teacher faces 12yrs in Spanish jail for sex abuse’ DAD SEDUCED’ PUPIL, 15
A BRIT teacher has been warned he faces 12 years in a Spanish jail over the alleged abuse of a pupil.
Carlo Troiano, 41, is accused of having sex with a girl of 15.
The IT teacher had moved to Almeria after being sacked from a school in Cheshire following similar claims in 2010.
He is awaiting trial for allegedly abusing a pupil of St George’s School, a fee- paying bilingual school in Almeria. Yesterday it emerged prosecutors want him caged for 12 years if convicted.
They also want him to pay £35,000 compensation to the girl.
Troiano was arrested in 2016 and held on remand in prison but was bailed a year later.
Last October he was rearrested in Germany – where the girl had moved – and accused of trying to bully her into retracting her claims.
The arrest order stated he told her he had got her name tattooed on his body.
The divorced dad of two, from Wirral, faces another probe for alleg- edly trying to abuse her under-age cousin and a separate charge of distributing child porn.
In 2010 he was cleared of sexual activity with a girl of 16 in a classroom at Bankfield High School after a trial at Warrington crown court but the school later sacked him.
After his acquittal he said: “I feel very angry someone could say things that are not true.”
