Brit teacher faces 12yrs in Span­ish jail for sex abuse’ DAD SE­DUCED’ PUPIL, 15

A BRIT teacher has been warned he faces 12 years in a Span­ish jail over the al­leged abuse of a pupil.

Carlo Troiano, 41, is ac­cused of hav­ing sex with a girl of 15.

The IT teacher had moved to Alme­ria af­ter be­ing sacked from a school in Cheshire fol­low­ing sim­i­lar claims in 2010.

He is await­ing trial for al­legedly abus­ing a pupil of St Ge­orge’s School, a fee- pay­ing bilin­gual school in Alme­ria. Yes­ter­day it emerged pros­e­cu­tors want him caged for 12 years if convicted.

They also want him to pay £35,000 com­pen­sa­tion to the girl.

Troiano was ar­rested in 2016 and held on re­mand in prison but was bailed a year later.

Last Oc­to­ber he was re­ar­rested in Ger­many – where the girl had moved – and ac­cused of try­ing to bully her into re­tract­ing her claims.

The ar­rest or­der stated he told her he had got her name tat­tooed on his body.

The di­vorced dad of two, from Wir­ral, faces an­other probe for al­leg- edly try­ing to abuse her un­der-age cousin and a sep­a­rate charge of dis­tribut­ing child porn.

In 2010 he was cleared of sex­ual ac­tiv­ity with a girl of 16 in a class­room at Bank­field High School af­ter a trial at War­ring­ton crown court but the school later sacked him.

Af­ter his ac­quit­tal he said: “I feel very an­gry some­one could say things that are not true.”
