Banks’s pub? No, that’s a Banksy

-

TRADITIONAL British pubs need all the help they can get – and if a Banksy artwork can keep famous beers such as Marston’s and Banks’s flowing, then cheers.

This image of a punter with bottle in hand appeared overnight in a blocked off doorway at The

Albion. The old

Grimsby boozer has been wrecked and strewn with drug users’ needles, right, and the owner wants to demolish it.

But work by illusive artist

Banksy can fetch millions. So if this is his, the pub might be preserved. Motorist Susan Chesman spotted it early yesterday. She said: “I thought this could be a Banksy. I’m hoping it is the real thing.”

On social media some critics said it has “Banksy style”. But another doubted the “quality”.

Why not argue over a pint?
