Kids’ home shut down
A PRIVATE school for autistic children has been ordered by Ofsted to close its residential care unit.
The decision came after inspectors were concerned about the safety of kids at Cruckton Hall School near Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
And the Department for Education has ordered it to address “serious failings”.
One parent claimed the school’s management was not fit for purpose.
Cruckton Hall has 33 pupils, of whom 20 are residential. They can still be taught there but will be found accommodation elsewhere by the council.
The school said it was working to address the problems “quickly and thoroughly”.
