This week’s Patients’ 235 trips to A&E

TEN patients each visited accident and emergency departments more than 235 times last year.

A total of 31,492 people attended more than ten times in 2018.

It means 0.4 per cent of all patients made 4 per cent of visits in England. Regulars are mostly 21 to 31, in deprived areas and go to A&E at night.

Health firm Dr Foster’s study comes as A&ES fail to hit four-hour wait targets.
