Deadly blood clot HRT link

WOMEN on HRT should be offered patches before pills, experts say, after they were linked to killer blood clots.

A study involving 80,000 people by the University of Nottingham found those on the pills were more at risk of pulmonary embolism or deep vein thrombosis.

Researchers said the risk was low for menopausal women on HRT treatments other than tablets.
