Catastrophe is a triumph
FILTHY, funny and sharpwitted, Catastrophe is back and thank God.
Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney’s relationship sitcom returned for its final series on C4 on Tuesday with all its big issues – family juggling, sex talk and middle class woes.
Rob was in court in a neck brace after his drink-driving shame, leaving Sharon to deal with the kids alone.
The horror. She turned to petty crime as a coping mechanism – an overpriced cuddly dinosaur will do that to a person. Meanwhile, Corrie’s Julie Hesmondhalgh was brilliant as creepy Amanda. When this show ends it WILL be a real catastrophe.
