HOTEL

-

Our executive room was stylishly furnished and tastefully decorated, with an ergonomic workstation for those on business.

We enjoyed cups of tea and watched the news on the flatscreen TV before heading out to shop at the newly refurbished Moor Quarter nearby.

The Dream bed’s mattress turned out to be firm but had a soft, thick topper.

The bathroom had a range of spa products and a powerful shower, which perked us up. THE FOOD

The hotel restaurant caters to all tastes, but we had a reservation at an Asian fusion place nearby.

After a fine meal, we couldn’t resist the buzz of the hotel bar, which stocked a good selection of gins and tonics and we ordered room service for the morning.

After waking up fully recharged, there was a knock at the door and two huge English breakfasts were brought in on trays. Eggs, bacon and all the trimmings, cooked to perfection, topped off a lovely stay.

THE SERVICE

Very friendly staff.

THE SCENE

Clean, comfortable and stylish. The hotel has had a facelift and its 259 bedrooms all have comfy Dream beds.

LOVED

The location is perfect for exploring Sheffield’s underrated city centre.

HATED

A long wait for Saturday morning coffee with surprisingly just one person acting as cashier and barista.

BOTTOM LINE

Rooms from £65 a night.
