‘Gift staff a better party’
THE Chancellor is being urged to relax tax rules on workplace parties so pandemic-weary staff can enjoy bigger Christmas bashes.
Bosses can currently spend up to £150 per head without it being taxed as a benefit in kind.
But experts say raising this to £300 could spur them to be more generous.
Tax adviser Robert Salter said: “It would encourage firms to provide employees with a genuine thank you for all their efforts.”
