O yum, all ye faithful

- Dan Hall

THE Hairy Bikers are offering to kickstart Christmas and cook a 10-course festive banquet for 10 people next month.

After finishing BBC Two series Go North, Si King add Dave Myers will ride into the town of the winner of a Tyrrells Crisps competition and cook a buffet inspired by crisp flavours made by the firm.

But they promise it will be more than just prawn cocktail or cheese and onion – since Tyrrells makes a Biker Burger flavour inspired by the pair.

Myers, 64, who went to his home town of Barrowin-furness for the Go North show, said: “Our recipes are inspired by Tyrrells’ crisps, with an exciting Christmas twist.

“We can’t wait to get to the winner’s town and cook up a feast and have a few drinks with their friends and family.”

For the Go North series the pair crossed northern England from west to east to celebrate local dishes in what Myers said was “a bit of a love letter to ourselves”.

But their next trip can be anywhere in the UK. To enter the contest, which ends at midnight tonight, see @Tyrrells Official on Facebook or

Instagram.
