In the dark over theft
A TOWN was left facing a cheerless Christmas after a thief stole 85 sets of lights.
Organisers discovered the decorations had been swiped while preparing Christmas trees for shops.
After an appeal for their return failed, no replacements could be sourced – until one trader found 60 sets for sale in London.
Clare Perkins, organiser of the lights event in Woodbridge, Suffolk, said: “Thanks to him, we have lights that can make Woodbridge sparkle brighter.”
