Med mare for tourists

-

BRITS taking everyday medication on foreign holidays could end up jailed, watchdogs warn.

UK prescriptions and shop-bought remedies are banned in some countries.

And even basic pharmacy medicines such as Vicks nasal inhalers and herbal fixes are strictly regulated.

Places like the UAE and Thailand may arrest travellers taking drugs such as codeine through customs.

A Which? spokesman said: “Some holidaymakers have ended up in jail.”
