MICHAEL APPLETON was frustrated by his shot-shy forwards.

Lasse Sorensen had the best chance but headed straight at Doncaster keeper Louis Jones.

Boss Appleton said: “The opportunities that we let slip in the first-half involved a couple of criminal decisions by some of our forward players.

“The fact that we’ve not scored is a joke.”

Counterpart Richie Wellens said: “Apart from us working their keeper more, we’ve done everything we could.”
