DAVE ARTELL wants Crewe’s first win in 11 games “to be the start of something.”

Goals from Chris Long and Tom Lowery claimed Crewe only a second win of the League One campaign.

Boss Artell said: “One win doesn’t make or break a season. This has got to be the start of something.”

Gillingham boss Steve Evans said: “We weren’t good enough in the firsthalf, but in the second we were. We created three or four opportunities and if we had taken them we’d have won the game.”
