BEN GARNER hailed Swindon’s battling spirit in claiming a hard-fought victory.

Jack Payne struck an 88th-minute winner after Newport forward Dom Telford had cancelled out Finn Azaz’s own goal. Garner said: “It’s probably one of our hardest games of the season. We dug in and fought.

“We withstood the pressure well and it’s a really good three points at a very difficult place.”
