Congratulations on I’m A Celebrity – are you excited about taking part?

I still can’t believe I am doing it but I love and admire everybody who has done the show. I admire their bravery and I have spoken to so many people who have done it. Everyone has loved the experience and told me how it has added something new to their lives and that is why I have said yes this year.

Are you nervous about the creepy-crawlies?

Spiders, all those things you find on I’m A Celebrity – I don’t like them but I have this great fantasy that I can put myself in a place that will deal with it all.

What do you hope the public will see when they watch?

I think people will see the motherly side of me. I don’t think people know me and the real me is very different – I am very caring and I love that caring side of my life.

How will you cope with hunger?

Food is the least of my worries. I am not afraid of being bored either as I do like to sit and think!
