Getting There

It isn’t always easy

To run our lives to plan, However much we hope to, Or try as best we can.

For paths take twists and turnings, And routes run seldom true,

And others may surprise us, As people often do.

Yet though it can seem daunting To find we lack control,

To have to change our mind-set, Or modify our goal,

Of one thing I’m quite certain, Whatever way we wend,

If we are meant to go there,

We’ll get there in the end!
