A Snowy Walk
Thick, heavy snow has come down overnight, The streets and the houses are coated in white. I’m slipping and sliding, I can’t stay upright – But the streets are a beautiful sight!
My walk is a struggle, I wish I had skis;
It’s deeper in places, right up to my knees!
I’ll catch a chill, surely, I’m starting to sneeze – But the streets are a beautiful sight!
I can’t feel my fingers, my toes or my cheeks, I feel like my feet have been frozen for weeks. It’s drifted and settled in mountainous peaks, But the streets are a beautiful sight!
And though I now feel like I’ll never be warm,
The world looks so sparkly after the storm.
There’s nothing the wonder of snow won’t transform – Oh, it’s all such a beautiful sight!
