Church Of St James, Thornton
Before moving to Haworth, the sisters’ father spent five years as the parson of the Bell Chapel in the nearby village of Thornton. All his children, except
Maria (the eldest), were baptised there and the font is now in the Church of St James.
The family home on Market Street is now a tearoom called Emily’s.
