Q. I enjoy walking, but my husband gets rather breathless after a short time. What exercise would you suggest he does instead?

It’s great that you enjoy walking, so do keep that up for your own health. It’s great to exercise together for mutual motivation, too.

You could join a class where both of you can exercise together but at an intensity to suit you individual­ly, so you could stand up while your husband could do some of the workout sitting down.
