True Gentleman

I was sad to read about Sir Roger Moore’s recent passing.

I recall being in a chemist shop in St Helier, Jersey, about to purchase a bottle of suncream, when the gentleman in front of me turned round.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it was James Bond actor Roger Moore himself, and he was quick to give a friendly hello and a little chat.

It was a brief encounter, but a lasting one, as he seemed so friendly and down-to-earth.
