Personal Touch

I bought the Dame Vera Lynn book from your magazine because I am such a huge fan of the singer.

When I was a very young girl (I am now eighty-one), like many girls of the time, I sent away for autographs of all the stars.

We had great fun exchanging them all, but I would never swap Vera’s as, unlike other signatures which were often just stamped, Vera personally signed her autograph, which I still have.

The book is a very good buy – I love it.
