Something we didn’t know last week . . .
Film director Peter Jackson, along with a team from Britain’s Imperial War Museum, has restored poignant black and white film footage of soldiers from World War I, painstakingly adding colour and sound effects. The film “They Shall Not Grow Old” marks the centenary of the end of the conflict and is a fitting tribute not only to Jackson’s grandfather, who fought in the war, but also to all the soldiers who gave their lives for the cause.
